Exploring or Navigating Transition
Are you trying to sort through the options for a transition that feels affirmative for you? Are you feeling overwhelmed by the emotional, logistical, or social aspects of transitioning? Or perhaps you’re seeking support navigating conversations with family, close friends, or complex medical and legal systems.
Transitions are easier with guidance. Whether you're just starting to question or actively transitioning, I provide an interactive, affirmative, educational space where you can clarify your goals, understand your options, and build the confidence and skills you need to move forward with authenticity.
As we work together, we might explore:
-
Clarifying your gender identity or transition path
-
Exploring gender expression in practical, affirming ways (names, pronouns, clothing, or presentation)
-
Examining advantages and disadvantages of specific gender-affirming medical and surgical options
-
Exploring non-medical affirming practices and options for transition
-
Preparing for social transition
-
Developing language for correcting misgendering; and building self-advocacy skills.
-
Understanding how medical, legal, and bureaucratic processes work
-
Building resilience and coping strategies
-
Building community and reducing isolation

Gender coaching is different from therapy
Coaching involves guidance, support, mentorship, and interactive gender education that helps you explore gender identity and sexual orientation and navigate real-world systems with confidence. Unlike therapists or medical providers, gender coaches do not diagnose, treat, or provide clinical care. Instead, they focus on self-discovery, personal growth, and practical skill-building. For support with mental health conditions, please consult a licensed mental health provider.
